Event Overview

The 10th Annual Governor’s Small Business Outreach Summit marked a milestone but, more importantly, it marked a shift. We were not just reflecting on the past decade; we were launching the next one with bold and exciting energy.

Under this year’s theme, “Future-Ready: Preparing Maryland Businesses for Tomorrow’s Challenges,” the event expanded its reach with dynamic new programming designed to engage a broader spectrum of Maryland’s small business ecosystem. From sector-specific tracks focused on innovation and technology to programming for emerging entrepreneurs and youth-led ventures, the Summit continued evolving to meet the moment. We also introduced a special recognition of Maryland’s Veteran-Owned Small Businesses that honored their service and spotlighted their vital role in the state’s economic future.

New Features Introduced in 2025

  • Pitch Session: A brand-new opportunity where businesses presented their services live to attendees, including primes, agencies, and potential partners.
  • Matchmaking Session: This dynamic networking opportunity connected prime contractors with small businesses and vendors that met their procurement needs.
  • Small Business Registration Center: A dedicated space where businesses registered or renewed their Maryland Small Business status, checked their status, and obtained an EMMA Code quickly and easily.
  • Maryland Business Owner Veteran Ceremony: We celebrated and honored veteran entrepreneurs while connecting them with resources and opportunities designed to support and grow their businesses in Maryland.
